The Future for Stormi and Miso

This is the last blog of the campaign, so you might be asking yourself, what does the future hold for Stormi and Miso?

This is a very good question, but I know for sure that Stormi and Miso will still be with me for the long time future. Later this summer, I am actually moving apartments, not too far though! I am moving from a studio apartment to a bigger apartment with two room mates! I have already talked with them about the cats, and they both love cats so I am hoping that Stormi and Miso will get along with them. This new apartment will be a good change for Stormi and Miso. It is much larger and it has walking trails around it. I think my current apartment is too small for the two of them. Especially Miso, because she just has so much energy. So I think they will both be happier at the new apartment.

One of my biggest fears about moving with Stormi and Miso is that they will like my room mates better than they like me. I know this is not a super rational fear, but it is still a fear nonetheless. As stated in my previous blog, moving with cats can be very stressful. But thankfully, I have a whole blog about how to make moving with cats less stressful. It also included many tips and tricks that I will make sure to try my best to follow!

When it comes to Stormi and Miso’s relationship, I hope that they will remain sisters and best friends for the rest of their lives. I have heard of instances where cats will suddenly become aggressive with each other while they are play fighting or something like. Because of this sudden aggression, they will loose trust in each other and will stop getting along. I really hope this doesn’t happen to Stormi and Miso. There really isn’t anything I can do to prevent this outburst of aggression and once it has happened, it is very difficult for the two cats to get along again in the future.

I am hoping maybe because of Stormi and Miso’s age gap, that Stormi will act more like a mother or older sister to Miso and so this wouldn’t happen. But sometimes, I worry because Stormi and Miso will play fight a lot. Many times when they play fight, I can not tell if it’s serious or just playing. Sometimes when they fight I hear hissing and squeaking so I will try to break it up. Overall they seem happy so I just have to hope they don’t turn suddenly aggressive toward each other. I am hoping that moving and having a larger apartment will help them have their own space.

I think later on in life, if I move into a house with a yard and my life isn’t as busy, I might get a dog. I am not sure how Stormi and Miso would react to a dog. When I was in high school and Stormi was an indoor outdoor cat, my parents had a dog and him and Stormi were best friends. So I think Stormi would be fine with a dog. Miso on the other hand, might not be. I remember a few weeks ago I took her on a walk, and we ran into someone with a small yappy dog. Miso did not like it and started hissing. So we will see if Miso is friendly towards dogs and is open to the possibility of living with one in the future.

As for the future of ‘The World of Stormi and Miso’, I will still be running the Instagram page! I don’t think I will keep the Facebook and Tik Tok because those platforms did not do super well for me. But I will still be posting cute pictures of Stormi and Miso and updates about their lives on Instagram!
